Dear Friends . . .
Thank you for taking a few moments to look over our April 2008 Newsletter. It has been a good month, not full of revivals, but every Sunday filled. I am always grateful that the Lord opens doors for us to fill in, when there are open dates. I praise Him for His faithfulness to Brenda and me.
I started on April 6th at Siloam Baptist Church, near West Point, Mississippi. My good friend Mike Fondren felt a nudge from the Lord to have me come up for a one-day meeting. I drove up early Sunday morning, preached and spent the afternoon with the Fondrens. Edna and the kids provided us with a wonderful meal, and then we enjoyed a Sunday afternoon of good fellowship. I preached on Sunday night and headed home. It is always good to be with the Fondrens. I count them as dear friends in the Lord; my kind of folks.
On the second Sunday, and the following Wednesday, I filled in at Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Sebastopol, Mississippi. I am grateful to the good folks at Salem for using me as well, on open dates. They have been kind to us for several years. We look forward to being with Salem again in May as well. They are still without a pastor and would appreciate everyone praying for them as they seek God’s will for the church.
On April 20 we started a Sunday through Wednesday revival at Steele Baptist Church, Forest, Mississippi. Bro. Reggie Williams is the pastor at Steele, and God is really blessing the church under his leadership. I have preached for several pastors at Steele across the years, but it has been a long time since I was in Steele church. I got to reminisce with some schoolmates from our Scott Central High School days.
It was a real pleasure to be with Bro. Reggie and Marie. We enjoyed good fellowship during the week. God blessed the meeting with His presence. Attendance was good, and the folks responded to the preached Word. There was one profession of faith.
I was delighted to be with Bro. Stacy and Becky Monk. They were former church members to both Bro. Reggie and me. They are special people, long-time and faithful friends. The Monks provided the revival music and did a great job. They have a humble and gracious spirit and really ministered to Steele Baptist Church through their music. I am thankful for the good week we had at Steele.
I preached at Clifton Baptist Church on the last Sunday of April. We had not been in a while, and it was good to be back at Clifton. We had a good day in the Lord. The Clifton church family has recently called Bro. Andy Boles to serve as pastor. Bro. Andy and family have moved there from Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Andy is a very capable and conservative young pastor. I believe that Clifton will see good things in days ahead. We wish the very best to the Andy Boles family and the Clifton Baptist Church family.
Well I am trying to keep our Newsletter brief, but cannot close without saying thank you to every one of you who allow us to send it each month. Thank you for praying for us as we travel, sing and preach. We appreciate everything you do as our friends and supporters. We may not get to see you as often as we would like, but at least we can stay in touch through this simple letter each month. We love you and pray God’s best for you and your families. Brenda and I send our love and best regards to you all.
On a another note, I have added a little widget on my website from MicroPoll. I have always wanted a web poll ever since I got my web site back in 2000. I will post a new survey question each month when I send out this newsletter. I sure would be grateful if all of you would go to my site (
www.randallcreel.org), scroll down a bit, and vote in the web poll. It will not only let you express your opinion on a matter, but will allow you to see the views of others. I hope you will check it out each month.

Here is a brief look at our May schedule. Let me say to the pastors, if the Holy Spirit should lead you, I have plenty of available dates left and all it takes is a phone call or a quick e-mail.
